What did we develop? MEMSWear smart shirt capable of performing online processing for detecting falls and daily activities System consist of 3-Axis accelerometer, Bluetooth transceiver and a microcontroller unit (MCU) Onboard algorithms are capable of differentiating falls from other activities Information is transmitted wirelessly to a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone when a fall occurs. SMS can be sent world wide via the GSM network to a relative or caregiver.
